St Nicholas is said to be the oldest church in the New Forest as it is recorded in the Doomsday Book. It is the Parish Church for the village and remains a much loved and cared for ancient, traditional church.
Services are more formal and traditional to complement the services offered at St Saviour's Church. There is a fine choir and wonderful bell-ringers. Guides are present when the church is open on summer afternoons.
