We've been coming here for years as it's such a relaxing and romantic little spa. This year is the first year the hydro therapy pool has been quite a few degrees cooler. And the beds in the lanconium were cooler too. Really missed that luxury warmth today. Feels like a cost cutting exercise and its just not the same. The Thai lunch was spot on though. And the Thai massage was as good as it has always been - a proper massage.

The price has gone up, but the temperature in the hydrotherapy pool has gone down, which was disappointing. The hydrotherapy pool was noticeably colder during our visit on Monday. When we raised this at reception, we were told the temperature was lower because it was cold outside. This was surprising, as we’ve been regular visitors to the spa for some time, including during winter, and have never experienced this before. We also noticed visible white fungal growth in the vent next to the jacuzzi, which raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance in that area. In addition, the savoury pastry did not taste freshly made and seemed defrosted. We have returned to this spa repeatedly because the quality was consistently high, but based on this visit, we will now start looking for alternatives.

Been to senspa a few times and I always really enjoy it. The spa feels luxurious and I love some of the design choices like the ceiling lights in the pool area that look like stars and the cosily lit hydrotherapy area. The spa facilities are of good quality and offer diverse sensory experiences. I particularly like the herbal sauna and the showers that mimic tropical storms, etc. There were a couple things out of order/not working this time (the jacuzzi in the pool area and the shoulder jets in the hydrotherapy area) but this hasn't been an issue in the past. The full body massage I had was very relaxing but also felt it did some good. I find the relaxation/quiet rooms are nice for when you want a break from the water/heat. The complimentary tea is delicious. If I'm nitpicking, in the past they had several types of tea to choose from whereas this time they only had the welcome tea, but still great. The thai lunch is delicious especially the soup I had for the starter. Our waitress was really lovely.

What an incredible experience! My partner and I had treatments and got a use out of the facilities too, all the staff were very polite and accommodating. The treatments themselves were impeccable and the ladies checked in throughout to make sure we were comfortable- we will definitely be returning that’s for sure! We felt so relaxed afterwards!! The spa facilities are varied, we got an upgrade which let us access an extra steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool and lounge areas. The changing room facilities were all well maintained. Would 100% recommend the SenSpa for anyone looking to relax and unwind!

Was gifted a half day spa at Senspa. Including access to the thermal spa (hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, thermal rooms, experience showers and ice room) as well as access to swimming pool, jacuzzi. Package also included afternoon tea which was kindly boxed for me to enjoy at home as I was absolutely shattered and was too tired to stay and enjoy. Senspa is calming from start to finish. Excellent reception staff. As I have been before I didn't need the introduction. Was given a towel but would advise to bring your own as the changing rooms no longer have spare towels. You can ask for two when you arrive. Bring your own flip-flops or non-slip poolside shoes as these are no longer provided but they can be purchased for £4.99 at reception. Guests are provided with a locker key a wrist band that accesses the hydrotherapy section. Both of which must be returned when leaving. There is a lift to the first floor where the gym, changing rooms, relaxation and quiet rooms are situated. Free water and tea available throughout your stay, I would recommend the green tea. Sadly cups and saucers have been replaced with disposable drinking cups (keep it with you throughout the day and reuse it). I didn't look for a disabled toilet/changing room on the ground floor but there are 3 steps on the first floor to access to female changing rooms so this wouldn't be wheelchair accessible. Pool access is accessible via the reception or via the stairs from the changing rooms. Female changing rooms consists of toilets, showers (shampoo, conditioner and body wash available), hairdryers and straighteners, swimming costume spinner to get rid if excess water, lockers and changing cubicles. Those on a spa-day are provided with a dressing gown. (I can't comment for the men's as I'm not a man and no reason to access them - sorry chaps.) The hydro section is wonderful. The pool is warm with powerful jets, experience showers offer 6 variations including tropical storm to cool mist. Wasn't brave enough to endure the ice experience. There is a centre staircase to access two rooms. A good handrail but no grips on the tiles so would recommend non-slip poolside shoes or flip-flops. Drinking stations available and keep the fluids up. I have had afternoon tea here in the past in the main restaurant and have had a full day spa experience where lunch is part of the package. Anything that is ordered and not on the package is extra. Plenty of free on-site parking, however the disabled parking is outside the on-site restaurant, Le Blaireau's, and is a bit of walk to Senspa which is situated round the back. I managed to park right outside the spa and was thankful I had enough room to open the door. Definitely worth visiting. If you have the option of someone dropping you off and picking you up then I suggest you do. It's exhausting. Hotel guests have access to the on-site spa facilities. Varying treatments and these can be added as part of a package. On-site shop where you can purchase Senspa own products - they are nice, swimming costumes etc. The spa is a mobile phone free site

4th time we've been and it was great as always. Feel so good after all the hydrotherapy, sauna, steam room etc. plus a lovely massage and very tasty lunch.

I recently visited SenSpa at Careys Manor and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the treatment I received was excellent – professional, relaxing, and clearly delivered by a skilled therapist. The Thai lunch was also a real highlight: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The hydrotherapy pool, sauna, and steam rooms are well-maintained and offer a great way to unwind. However, the relaxation areas left a lot to be desired. Despite being marketed as a luxury spa, there was little effort to maintain a tranquil atmosphere in the shared relaxation spaces. Guests were sitting around talking loudly, and no staff intervened to encourage a quiet, restful environment. There’s also a lack of comfortable, peaceful space where you can sit and read in natural light. The only designated "quiet room" is dark, despite a few corner lamps, and feels stuffy rather than serene. It doesn’t offer the restful escape you'd expect from a spa of this calibre. To add to the disruption, maintenance was being carried out on the relaxation room door during my visit. The door was repeatedly slammed open and shut, completely undermining any sense of calm – and disappointingly, no apologies were made to guests affected. Overall, while the core spa treatments and amenities are still very good, the overall experience feels like it has lost its luxury edge. With some attention to noise management and guest comfort in the relaxation areas, it could easily regain its former high standard.

I enjoyed a very lovely relaxing day with my daughter to celebrate her birthday. It’s true to say the spa is a little dated and tired but the experience in the hydro pools, steam room ( hottest and best ever) sauna and cold room is wonderful. Lunch in the Thai restaurant was delicious and service excellent. We had great essential relaxing massages and the eminence prescription facial. My therapist for the facial was Rae and I can honestly say it was the best facial I have ever enjoyed. No photos for obvious reasons in a spa. I’ve tried a lot of spas but love this one due to the really lovely friendly staff and small quiet nature of the spa. We will definitely visit again
