A huge thank you to Red Herring for the support and attention in the lead up to and during our wedding. The team are fabulous and we both appreciate you so much! We looked back at the first email we sent to Red Herring after our original caterers cancelled. In just 15 weeks (with Christmas and a couple of holidays in between!), you pulled together quotes, tastings, lots of proposals, and then executed our wedding for us! We are so grateful. The food got lots of compliments and whenever we see guests they always mention "the best wedding food" they have ever had! The food was delicious. The tables looked great. The staff all had smiles on their faces. And a lot of alcohol was poured, even before we sat down for food! Sarah - thank you for not just being our ‘caterer’ but a cheerleader for the day and friend to us during the process. Including capturing me at the bottom of the stairs before the aisle! It was so important to us that people were fed, watered, and served well, and you made that possible. Thank you Sarah, Steve and Holly, for being so wonderful! xx

Red Herring catered our wedding for 160 people. They were fantastic. Sarah oversaw everything and Steve was responsible for the food - the service was professional, smooth, but also fun and friendly. The food was excellent given the number of people and the pace of delivery. We would love to throw more parties just so Sarah could oversee them. They are true professionals and Sarah is a wonderful person to work with. I can highly recommend them.

Red Herring did the most incredible job catering for our wedding at St Giles House this year - I’ve lost count how many guests have said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and we agree! Fish taco canapés accompanied with a shot of margarita? Beautifully cooked beef fillet for main course? How could you not love it!? It wasn’t just the food though, the service was impeccable and you could tell Sarah and the team have perfected their craft. The email correspondence was faultless for the entire 18+ months leading up to the wedding. The estimates were transparent leaving us with no nasty surprises when the invoices were due. The best part of it all was seeing Sarah and the team on the day and enjoying the moment we’d built with them for all this time. We could tell they truly cared and came to check in with us throughout the day. We wish we could relive the day all over again 🥹 You will not regret booking Red Herring for your event!

The whole Red Herring team did the most amazing job for our wedding a few days ago at Pylewell Park. Sarah was an absolute superstar - we couldn’t have asked for anything more. She made the whole day run super smoothly, made sure we could relax properly and take in the day, and was so much fun along the way. All the food was delicious, Steve and his team were top class. We had the absolute pleasure of Red Herring catering our wedding at St Giles House in September 2024. The whole process from initial planning stages to the tasting, to setting up at the venue, and the wedding itself couldn’t been a more reassuring and fun experience with Sarah and the team. They were so flexible and accommodating with our requests, even agreeing to serve pints of Guinness using fiddly surger’s during our Champagne reception (which was largely the only request my Husband had) and went down a storm with our guests. Sarah had such a calming presence throughout, and teamed with the lovely Holly, the service on our day was completely exceptional, there was never an empty glass and everyone felt so looked after. The food was next level; seasonal, absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, so many of our guests complemented on the day and followed up afterwards. This summer we had the absolute pleasure of working with Sarah and Steve at Red Herring for my daughter’s wedding, and I can’t speak highly enough of the incredible service and food they provided over the two-day event. From start to finish, everything was handled with absolute professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. With my daughter being a chef, she was particularly concerned that the menu reflect her culinary preferences. Both Steve and Sarah were genuinely receptive to her detailed questions and requests and it meant a lot to us all that they were so patient. The food was truly exceptional—every guest commented on how delicious and beautifully presented each dish was. Whether it was the main meals, appetizers, or desserts, everything was cooked to perfection and catered to all dietary preferences with ease. What really stood out, though, was the level of service. Sarah was an absolute star in the lead-up to the wedding, ensuring that all our requests were met with a smile and accommodated without hesitation. Her calm and organized approach took so much of the stress out of planning, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. No matter what we asked for, it was never too much trouble. Steve was amazing on the day and his personal attention to making sure everything went smoothly was really special. Many of our guests thought he was a fellow guest such was his good humour and sense of fun throughout. The serving staff were terrific and ensured no one was waiting to be served at any point. I can’t thank Sarah and Steve enough for making this special weekend even more memorable. Their dedication and passion truly shone through. The Red Herring Team were absolutely worth their weight in gold at our wedding in May at Somerely House. Fantastic food and impeccable service. We had so many comments afterwards from our guests who had a great experience and loved the food choices and friendly staff. The lead up and preparation for the wedding was handled very well, despite lots of changes and many random questions from myself!!
