Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The staff were all very polite and hospitable, food was excellent and rooms were comfortable, although in room 108 there was a very strange noise which I can only describe as loud clanging which I …

Lovely very dog friendly hotel, with excellent service, the staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We have never stayed in such a dog friendly environment. The location was perfect, lots of great walks straight from the hotel. We will be back and have already recommended the hotel to our family and friends.

A great stay, this is a gem of a hotel to find, amazing with dogs too. The hotel is situated directly next to many of the hiking or biking trials from the front door. Their attention to detail is the best Ive seen, they have loan wellies of every size from baby to adult! They left dog bowl, bed and towels in our room, reserved us a dog friendly table in the bar area, so many nice sweet touches you dont even find in 5 star hotels. The handyman/groundskeeper was very helpful with storing our bikes, all the staff were very pleasant, chatty and full of tips and advice for the area. We ate the restaurant menu in the var area, the food was very good, only the cheese board needs more soft cheeses ! The room was ground floor and opened to the gardens, just little thoughts like this for dog guests made it so special. Highly recommend this stay, well done the entire team.

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. Rooms, service, food and ambience were all superb. The only negative is that the hotel is on the outskirts of Brockenhurst and there's not much to do within walking distance (apart from long strolls through the beautiful countryside), so you'll need a car. That said, its location makes it an ideal base for visiting Beaulieu, Lymington, Milford on Sea and Lyndhurst. We ate in the hotel restaurant on both nights, and whilst the menu isn't huge, we didn't have trouble finding dishes that we liked. Two special things to mention; drive carefully because the New Forest ponies get everywhere and walk around (quite rightly) like they own the place. The second is to praise Mandie, who was on the front desk and proved to be charming, knowledgable and really helpful. Thanks to all at the hotel for a lovely experience.

My wife and I stayed for two nights on a short break away from the hustle and bustle of living in London. Believe me I always try to find fault in everything and I couldn’t find any. The room was spotless and very spacious, every member of …

Although only a three star. This is a really good hotel. The rooms are very clean and well appointed with Dyson hairdryers, a Dab radio, capsule coffee machine as well as the usual stuff. It's not the cheapest place and the bar prices are quite steep. But the staff are really attentive. Food quality is excellent and the breakfast had everything you would want.

Hotel itself is beautiful. Location is stunning. Nothing wrong with the food but overpriced for what you get. We had breakfast included in our room rate, however if we had to pay the £16 they are asking for their full English I would have sent it back. Other places serve a much better breakfast for a lot less money! Scrambled eggs were cold and my breakfast was missing its mushroom when it came to the table. Service is mediocre if not verging on the poor side. Staff seemed to have a lack of training/knowledge. Room is lovely although could do with double glazing due to road noise and what sounded like a generator starting up randomly through the night. I feel like the Forest Park is confused about what it’s trying to be. If it’s trying to achieve a higher end of service and hotel then it needs to up its game. If it’s trying to be a nice cosy family friendly get away then it needs to lower its prices as it’s expensive for what you get. We haven’t said anything to the hotel but won’t be returning.
